Customisation
Your yard is different. So is the software.
The 13 modules in the example are the result of a single voice message. Talk about a breeding yard, a boarding-only stable or a competition yard and the result looks different.
Four types of yard
What changes per yard
Breeding operation
Instead of riding lessons it is about mares, covering dates and foals.
Comes in- Covering date and foaling date as fields on the horse
- Foals as records of their own, linked to the dam
- Pregnancy check as a type inside Treatment
Drops out- Riding lessons and trainer scheduling in the Appointment module
Called differently- Appointment is often called the covering calendar here
Boarding only
No training, no lessons. More in the contract and in the billing instead.
Comes in- More service fields in the contract
- Bookings split more finely per boarder
Drops out- Lesson horse and training horse on the horse
- Lessons and courses in the Appointment module
Called differently- Many boarding yards simply call the Appointment a yard date
Small yard with eight horses
Fewer modules, shorter lists, the same deadlines.
Drops out- Machine, if there is no own equipment on the yard
- Supplier, if you always order from the same merchant
Stays the same- All ten reminders stay exactly as they are
Competition yard
Entries, entry fees and transport come in as modules of their own.
Comes in- Entry, linked to a horse and an appointment
- Entry fee as its own booking type
- Transport with driver and vehicle
Called differently- Appointment becomes competition planning with an entry deadline
